Welcome to Manse Lane Bed and Breakfast, Gananoque's Oldest B & B.

As we head into our 7th summer managing Manse Lane we are preparing for a rebranding...watch this space for more info on our new marketing endeavours. Even though we are planning a new look you will still be able to count on the hospitality, comfort and great local food you have come to expect.

This summer Bruce is back in the kitchen from Wednesday to Sunday each week and spending time at the local brewery in his off hours. The Gananoque Brewing Company will be open for tours starting in late May and Bruce can share all of the trials of craft brewing when you visit.

Manse Lane Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful Victorian home located in Gananoque, Ontario, the Canadian Gateway to the Thousand Islands. We are pleased to invite you to enjoy our hospitality and explore this world-famous region.

Small enough to provide cozy, personalized attention, yet large enough to give you space and privacy, Manse Lane is the perfect choice for anyone seeking a relaxing and friendly place to stay while on holiday. We regularly host travelers from all over North America and Europe. Breakfast times offer an opportunity to chat with your fellow guests, or to simply enjoy the delicious food while anticipating the day ahead.

2014 marks our seventh year as the owners of Manse Lane and we appreciate the patience and good wishes that our past visitors have imparted.

As always, we are happy to answer your questions over the telephone, so please don't hesitate to call. Our coordinates are found on our Contact page.

Our theatre package is back and it is still the best in Gananoque! $77pp in May/June

This year we continue to offer our sumptuous theatre package for $77 pp (double occupancy required) in May and June, which includes theatre tickets, accommodation (en suite room) and breakfast. That's less than the price of a theatre ticket in Toronto!

Ok, it helps that Bruce is the President of the local brewery which makes great beer, and it helps that there are two bars within a three minute walk of Manse Lane, both of which serve local beer, and it helps that the brewery will be open to the public in May. So if you book a room at Manse Lane we will be pleased to give you a gift certificate for $5 pp which you can use at the brewery or a local pub that serves Gananoque Brewing Company beers.

Gananoque Brewing Company

In addition to his duties at Manse Lane, Bruce is the President of the Gananoque Brewing Company, a small micro-brewery. The company has several craft beers on sale at local bars and restaurants in Gananoque, Kingston and in Toronto. Many of the company's beers use organic grains and hops grown in the area!

Pool update

Please note that our pool is now closed for the season. It is expected to open by May 24.

Family getaways at Manse Lane

Gananoque is conveniently located between Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa so it's a great location for family get-togethers. In fact, our family has been coming to Gan for mini-reunions since the early 1980s. We are happy to rent our entire house to a family for a weekend. In the off-season the rate is between $400-$500 per day, depending on the number of mouths to feed. During the peak season we rent the house for between $500 and $600 per day. We can sleep up to 14 people (depending on the combination of parents and children); if your family is larger, we can arrange rooms with a neighbouring B & B.

Take the train to Gananoque

Did you know that you can take the train from Toronto's Union Station to Gananoque? That's right, there are 14 scheduled departures from Toronto each week. There are also daily trains from Ottawa. You can see the Via Rail schedule here..
