Welcome to Manse Lane Bed and Breakfast, Gananoque's Oldest B & B.

Wow! Can you believe we are heading into our fifth season running Manse Lane? It seems like yesterday we were taking possession, renovating and learning how to poach eggs! Last summer Bruce had the place running like a charm and last August introduced a new breakfast menu that was fun and flavourful.

This year Bruce will be back in the kitchen 3-4 days a week as he spends more time on the Gananoque Brewing Company, his latest venture. We are bringing in some additional help through the summer to make sure that we are able to serve guests seven days a week from May right through to October.

Manse Lane Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful Victorian home located in Gananoque, Ontario, the Canadian Gateway to the Thousand Islands. We are pleased to invite you to enjoy our hospitality and explore this world-famous region.

Small enough to provide cozy, personalized attention, yet large enough to give you space and privacy, Manse Lane is the perfect choice for anyone seeking a relaxing and friendly place to stay while on holiday. We regularly host travelers from all over North America and Europe. Breakfast times offer an opportunity to chat with your fellow guests, or to simply enjoy the delicious food while anticipating the day ahead.

2012 marks our fifth year as the owners of Manse Lane and we appreciate the patience and good wishes that our past visitors have imparted.

Last summer Bruce launched the Gananoque Brewing Company and that kept him busy in Gan and Toronto over the winter months. This summer we expect the beer company to be even busier (and tastier) so Bruce will be hosting at Manse Lane 3-4 days a week and will be bringing in some additional help to balance out the schedule.

As always, we are happy to answer your questions over the telephone, so please don't hesitate to call. Our coordinates are found on our Contact page.

Some comments from our guest book

"Thanks for everything Bruce! Felt like home away from home. Your breakfasts were outstanding. Breakfasts will never be the same...real bacon and real eggs and real jams and real baked goods. Yum! All the best. S & G, Ottawa. P.S. Eggs that tasted like eggs!"

Monday madness

Starting in May we are posting special offers and last minute deals every Monday morning but they will likely be gone by noon, so get your week started by visiting every Monday. You can also email us at manselane@cogeco.ca and ask to be added to our Monday madness specials and then you can be the first to receive great deals!

Playhouse Theatre packages from $77 pp plus tax

Last week we attended the opening night performance of Nunsense II: The Second Coming and the show was a riot. Lots of singing and dancing, non-stop energy and the show finished with the crowd on its feet. It is great night out.

This May and June we are thrilled to offer a special package for theatre goers that includes two adult tickets to a show at the 1000 Islands Playhouse, breakfast and accommodation. Starting in May and June you can see NUNSENSE II: The Second Coming or Somewhere Beyond The Sea in late June at the Springer Theatre.

Click here to see the entire season Playbill or click Thousand Islands Playhouse to find out more about the Playhouse. Call us for details on the theatre package.

Boaters welcome

Manse Lane is only a stone's throw from the St. Lawrence River and we have arranged docking facilities for our guests at the 1000 Islands Playhouse dock. Space is limited so please contact us to reserve your slip.

Pool update

Please note that our pool is scheduled to reopen in mid-May.

Family getaways at Manse Lane

Gananoque is conveniently located between Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa so it's a great location for family get-togethers. In fact, our family has been coming to Gan for mini-reunions since the early 1980s. We are happy to rent our entire house to a family for a weekend. In the off-season the rate is between $400-$500 per day, depending on the number of mouths to feed. During the peak season we rent the house for between $500 and $600 per day. We can sleep up to 14 people (depending on the combination of parents and children); if your family is larger, we can arrange rooms with a neighbouring B & B.
