Seonaid and Bruce Davis - Owners and Hosts

Bruce and Seonaid have owned Manse Lane since 2008 and are long-time fans of this beautiful region. Seonaid was born in nearby Kingston and is now a teacher and consultant based in Toronto. She spends time at Manse Lane in the summer. Bruce's family dates back to Loyalist arrivals in Cornwall, Ontario in 1784. He has lived in Kingston, Smiths Falls, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Bruce and Seonaid both graduated from Queen's University in the mid-1980s.

Throughout the year, Bruce hosts guests at Manse Lane on weekends and during longer stretches in the summer. He takes a lead role in running the business, making jam and baking bread. Beware when he is hard at work in the kitchen, it's a whirlwind of activity!

George and Jocelyn Bounds - Founders

In 1989, George and Jocelyn founded Manse Lane, the first bed and breakfast to open in Gananoque. They sold their home and business to Bruce and Seonaid in 2008 and over the summer of 2008 they helped with the transition to ensure that Manse Lane would continue to meet the high standards that they had maintained for nearly 20 years. George and Jocelyn still reside in Gananoque.
