We are currently gearing up for our third season as the owners of Manse Lane, so please be patient as we update our website with new information!
Manse Lane Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful Victorian home located in Gananoque, Ontario, the Canadian Gateway to the Thousand Islands. We are pleased to invite you to enjoy our hospitality and explore this world-famous region.
Small enough to provide cozy, personalized attention, yet large enough to give you space and privacy, Manse Lane is the perfect choice for anyone seeking a relaxing and friendly place to stay while on holiday. We regularly host travelers from all over North America and Europe. Breakfast times offer an opportunity to chat with your fellow guests, or to simply enjoy the delicious food while anticipating the day ahead.
This year marks our third year as the new owners of Manse Lane and we appreciate the patience and good wishes that our past visitors have imparted. Despite economic woes, 2009 was a very busy season for us. Our theatre packages were a big hit and our number of US and European visitors increased substantially over previous years.
As always, we are happy to answer your questions over the telephone, so please don't hesitate to call. Our coordinates are found on our Contact page.

Gananoque is a regular stop for international travellors planning a big trip to Canada because of the area's natural beauty and its gateway to the Thousand Islands. Over the course of a summer, Manse Lane hosts dozens of couples and families from the European Union, the Middle East and Asia. Our family room and pool are especially popular with European travellers with children.
This year we want to extend the great Canadian experience for international guests by offering special experiences like boat cruises (private or boat line), horseback riding, canoing, fishing, or visits to local farms. We are also planning "nature walks" that can provide you will a real view of Canada's ruggedness. If you are an international visitor planning a trip, please plan on spending at least two nights in Gananoque to enjoy all that we have to offer. (Please note that these special excursions are not included in B & B room rates).

Theatre packages make an ideal gift
Here's a gift for the person that has everything...why not give a Manse Lane gift certificate or a theatre package gift certificate? Our 2010 theatre package is only $85 per person (double occupancy required), plus tax, and that includes accommodation, two theatre tickets to the Thousand Islands Playhouse and breakfast. Call us for more information.
Family getaways at Manse Lane
Gananoque is conveniently located between Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa so it's a great location for family get-togethers. In fact, our family has been coming to Gan for mini-reunions since the early 1980s. We are happy to rent our entire house to a family for a weekend. In the off-season the rate is between $400-$500 per day, depending on the number of mouths to feed. During the peak season we rent the house for between $500 and $600 per day. We can sleep up to 14 people (depending on the combination of parents and children); if your family is larger, we can arrange rooms with a neighbouring B & B.
Take the train to Gananoque
Did you know that you can take the train from Toronto's Union Station to Gananoque? That's right, there are 14 scheduled departures from Toronto each week. You can see the Via Rail schedule here.
Pool update
Please note that our pool is now open for the season.
Some comments from our 2009 guest book
"Thanks for everything Bruce! Felt like home away from home. Your breakfasts were outstanding. Breakfasts will never be the same...real bacon and real eggs and real jams and real baked goods. Yum! All the best. S & G, Ottawa. P.S. Eggs that tasted like eggs!"
Thanks for your most generous hospitality Bruce. We have thoroughly enjoyed visiting this most picturesque area of Canada. The food was great and the room sumptious! S & P, M & H, Blenheim, New Zealand.
Have had a great night sleep, saw a great show and the best breakfast. It is lovely to move about a house and feel at home. Thank you Bruce for all your attention to detail and comfort. H & R, Richmond, N.S.W., Australia.
Wonderful accommodation -- very quiet, excellent food and a generous host who looked after all our needs. L & L, Val des Lacs, Quebec
